The founder

One person built this.
I was the first customer.

I’m Caleb King. I’m the whole product team behind Coachh, and I made it for myself before I made it for anyone else.

The Coachh chat in the morning: the coach says good morning and offers to take a weigh-in or hear how you slept

I built it for me

Coachh didn’t start as a market opportunity. It started because I wanted it. I wanted one place for my training, my meals and my progress, and one coach that knew all of it, so I stopped having to explain myself to a different app for every part of getting in shape.

I was the first customer

Before anyone else used Coachh, I did. New features go on my own iPhone first. I use them in my own training and my own meals, and when something gets in the way, I fix it. That means the first person to get annoyed by anything in this app is the person who can do something about it.

It got me results

I kept using it because it worked. I was showing up, and I was getting results. That’s when it stopped being a personal project, and I decided other people should have it too.

My results are my own. Everyone’s body and circumstances are different, and Coachh can’t promise you a particular result.

What one person means for you

I design it, I build it and I decide what it does: the iPhone and Apple Watch app, the Android app, the Apple TV app, the server and this website. There’s no committee between what you ask for and what I work on. You can see what’s coming on the roadmap, ranked by how many people asked.

It’s also why I’m careful about what Coachh says it can do. It’s my name on the guides and comparisons, and our editorial standards say how they’re checked. The thinking behind the coach itself is on the Performance Intelligence page.
