Apple Health and Health Connect
How to connect Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, what Coachh reads and writes, and how to sync or turn it off.
Updated
Connecting your phone’s health app lets Coachh see your steps, sleep, workouts and weigh-ins without you typing them, so today’s plan knows how you slept and how active you’ve been. Everything works without it.
On iPhone
- Open Menu › Settings and scroll to Apple Health. (You may have connected it in onboarding.)
- Tap Connect Apple Health and choose what to allow.
- Tap Sync now any time. If you see Allow weight, meals and mood, tap it so Coachh can write those too.
On Android
Coachh for Android launches in November 2026. These are the steps for the Android app once it’s out.
- Open Menu › Settings and scroll to Health Connect.
- Tap Connect Health Connect, then Continue, and pick what to allow.
- Sync now pulls in the latest; Choose what Coachh can use changes what’s allowed. If nothing happens, tap Open Health Connect and allow Coachh there.
Good to know
- Coachh reads steps, walks and workouts (from your watch, the Workout app or apps like Strava), sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability and smart-scale weigh-ins.
- It writes the workouts you finish, weigh-ins, water and meals. An estimated meal goes in once you say it looks right or fix it; a scanned barcode straight away.
- Only daily totals, weigh-ins and workout summaries are saved to your Coachh account. Health data is never sold or used for ads.
- To stop, turn Coachh off in the Health app or in Health Connect. What Coachh wrote there stays until you delete it there.
