Measurements and progress photos

How to log your waist and other measurements, take weekly progress photos, compare them, and keep the photos private.

Updated

The scale misses a lot, especially while you’re building muscle. A waist measurement and a few photos each week show the change it can’t.

In the chat

Say “waist 34, hips 40” and Coachh logs it, with the change since you started. Centimetres work too.

On iPhone

  1. Open Menu › Progress and find Body.
  2. Tap Log measurements, fill in whichever you track (waist, hips, chest, arm, thigh, body fat) and tap Save.
  3. For photos, tap Take this week’s photos under Progress photos. Take front, side and back, then Save photos.
  4. Once you have two weeks, tap Compare to see them side by side or with a wipe.

On Android

Coachh for Android launches in November 2026. These are the steps for the Android app once it’s out.

  1. Open Menu › Progress › Body and tap Log measurements.
  2. Tap Take this week’s photos under Progress photos, and Compare to see the change.

Good to know

  • Progress photos stay on your phone, not in your Coachh account, unless you turn on Back up progress photos in Settings › Progress photos. Backups are private to you.
  • The coach sees your measurement numbers and the dates of your photos, never the photos.
  • Photo day reminder, in the same place, picks a day and time each week. It needs reminders on.
  • To delete measurements or photos, open Body with See all and delete them from the list.
  • Measure first thing in the morning, in the same spot each time.
